my first day in London

My first day in London passed nearly five decades ago, but it left me with dream like memories of a fantasy land far from my Canadian home.
Over the next 30 years, I made the trip four times. The last trip, in 1985, was something rather special, but parenthood then kept me away for nearly 20 years. Then came March break, 2004, retired and with my boys in tow, we breezed through four days in Maida Vale, on the eve of the Madrid Bombing.
While international travel was only partially effected, the London Underground was forced to proceed with stiff operations.
No worries!
We discovered the double decker, and my life changed dramatically.
I've made seven trips since then and I've become something of a London Tourist know it all, (actually my PC has the all the memory).
So this Blog has significant research behind it.
And I hope to attract some interesting comments that will enhance my database, and in the process offer good information to Tourists and residents alike.
Cheers and Thanks
